Marex Subsea Welds Ltd sub-contracted to operate for and on behalf of Underwater Propulsion Engineers (UPE). The scope for MSSW was to provide coded wet welding services class A welds in accordance with AWS D3.6M code, an American standard for underwater coded welding and under the supervision and approbation of Bureau Veritas of Shipping in Spain. Marex team arrived and started operations on Wednesday 30/05/2018 and finished Saturday 02/06/2018.

 

Spread air, surface supplied equipment, welding equipment and other auxiliary equipment provided by an affiliate diving company,TSE S.L. The initial in-water survey was provided by the owner, which indicated the area to be repaired.

 

Marex used its owned Welding team and Welding Procedure Specification to execute the work.

The Job was completed on the 2nd of June 2018. Following the project completion, Marex engineering department sent the technical report and all necessary data and audio-visual material.
