Marex Subsea Welds Ltd was sub-contracted to operate for and on behalf of FSDS RU.

The scope of work for MSSW was to provide an approved solution and seal a schism which had occurred on an LNG Tanker's hull.

 

MSSW provided a tailor-made cofferdam solution and coded dry & wet welding services of class A welds in accordance with AWS D3.6M code (an American standard for underwater coded welding) under the surveillance and approbation of Nippon Salvage Co Ltd.

 

Marex team started operations on Monday 10th of December 2018 and finished on Saturday 23rd of December 2018. Marex used its own Welding team as well as Welding Procedure Specification to execute the work.

 

MSSW completed the project successfully with a time frame given in a safe and efficient manner.

 

Marex used NAUTILUS 3.2mm electrode to perform its services.
